A private table on the rooftop
After dark the terrace is at its best. The city noise drops away below you, the air over the water cools, and Lake Fateh Sagar sits 200 metres in front of you with the lights of the far bank strung out along it. We set one table apart from the rest of the terrace, with candles, and leave you to it.
It is deliberately not staged. There is no arch of balloons, no fixed script, and nobody standing at your shoulder waiting to present something. Service is attentive when you want it and absent when you do not.
It works for an anniversary, a birthday, a proposal, or an evening that does not need a reason. Tell us if you are marking something specific and we will set the table to suit; tell us if you are not and we will leave it beautifully alone.
Pure vegetarian kitchen
This kitchen is pure vegetarian all the way through — not a vegetarian section of the menu, and not a separate preparation area. There is no non-vegetarian food in the building at all. If one of you keeps a strictly vegetarian kitchen, there is nothing to confirm in advance and nothing to ask for on the night.
Our kitchen is 100% pure vegetarian. We serve Indian, Rajasthani, Chinese and Continental dishes, and the same kitchen that serves the hotel restaurant caters events on the rooftop. For families and gatherings that require a strictly vegetarian kitchen, this is not an accommodation we make on request — it is the only way we cook.
The menu
You are ordering from the same kitchen that runs the hotel restaurant, which means the range is wider than a fixed romantic set menu would give you: Rajasthani dishes cooked properly, north Indian, Indo-Chinese and Continental. Dal baati churma and a plate of pasta come out of the same kitchen, and one of you can have each.

Near Fateh Sagar Lake
Hotel Rani Palace is 200 metres from Fateh Sagar Lake — a five-minute walk. There is free outside parking for guests, and a lift to the upper floors.

Guests travelling in for your event can stay at the hotel. We have 19 rooms, all air-conditioned, with free WiFi and free outside parking.
